Páll Rósinkranz
Pall Rosinkranz
Páll Rósinkranz nacio en 1974 y comenzo su carrera con la banda islandesa Jet Black Joe con la cual realizo 3 albumes entre 1992 y 1994 y comienza su carrera solista en 1996.
Páll Rósinkranz ha lanzado hasta la fecha 8 albumes solistas la mayoria de ellos interpretando covers y un album de canciones de navidad.

Estos discos son caletazas... dificiles de conseguir en venta e imposibles de encontrar para descarga gratuita. Los albumes "Your Song" y "No Turning Back" los encontre hace muchos años mediante unos programas de descarga llamados Audiogalaxy y Soulseek...tuve que buscar los temas uno por uno. Tengo que resaltar que en el album "Your Song" falta un tema llamado "Be Thou My Vision" que nunca pude encontrar. El primer cd es casi en su totalidad canciones cristianas y un cover de Bob Dylan por ahi, este cd y el cd Nobody Knows los consegui comprandolos online en una tienda islandesa que ya no existe.

El primer demo con Icarus
Yo se que por ahi algunos tiene el cd "en vivo" de Icarus, pero quiero compartir este demo ya que fue la primera grabacion de la banda y como que se ha quedado un poco en el olvido. No tiene la calidad de sonido del cd "en vivo" pero es un testimonio y le tengo un feeling especial por la antiguedad que tiene..aunq el sonido sea feo.
Este demito se grabo en la casa de mis viejos en el distrito de San Luis en Lima Peru, fue un poco incomodo ya que no contabamos con un cuarto acustico y todo lo que yo cantaba mientras grababa se podia escuchar hasta la calle y para colmo lo grabamos de noche a partir de las 9pm con un microfono dinamico Behringer y una grabadora multitrack de cassette. La bateria es secuencia midi asi como los teclados y el bajo. No se grabaron segundas voces ni armonias ya que todo lo grabamos apenas termine de escribir las letras ya que necesitabamos urgente el demo.
No recuerdo el orden en que fue grabado todo pero ahi esta... el sonido no es bueno, pero es una idea de como fue el comienzo de la banda.. Bueno mi comienzo ya que yo fui el ultimo en ingresar a la banda..y la banda ya habia tenido una alineacion antigua.
La alineacion de esa epoca era Oscar"Yito" Olaya, Walter Costa, Kike Ilave, Cesar Gonzales y yo..pero en el demo solo grabaron Yito y Walter...y ya.
Yo le hice una portada al demo, pero a Yito no le gusto por que le parecia muy agresiva, lo mismo decia del logo... pero a mi me gustaba. La ilustracion es del artista peruano Boris Vallejo, le escribi un email a Boris Vallejo pidiendole autorizacion para usar su arte pero me dijo que no podia porque sus agentes no se lo permitian...pero me valio verga y lo hice, total nunca se puso a la venta ,solo era para tener una portada para recrear la vista.

Jet Black Joe
JET BLACK JOE
This post is dedicated to my favorite band of all time. I've been a Jet Black Joe fan for almost 20 years and I just want to say thank you for that awesome music.
Jet Black Joe es una banda islandesa que tuvo mucho exito en Islandia en la decada del 90. Compuesta originalmente por Pall Rosinkranz (voz), Gunnar Bjarni Ragnarsson (guitar), Hrafn Thoroddsen (keyboards), Starri Sigurdarsson (Bajo) y Jón Örn Arnarsson.
Segun lei en algunas paginas isladesas las cuales pude traducir con Google la banda realizo presentaciones en Holanda y Dinamarca y tambien tuvieron exito en Filipinas.
Los temas mas conocidos de la banda son Big Fat Stone, Rain, Summer is Gone, Higher And Higher entre otras.
La banda se desintegro en 1996. El tecladista Hrafn Thoroddsen y el baterista Jón Örn Arnarson formaron la banda Ensími, banda que tambien tuvo bastante exito.
Pall Rosinkranz se embarco en su busqueda espiritual volviendose al cristianismo y se lanzo como solista .
En el 2002, Gunnar Bjarni Ragnarsson y Páll Rósinkranz revivieron la banda al presentarse en vivo en el Eldborg Music Festival .
El guitarrista y creador principal de la banda Gunnar Bjarni Ragnarsson ha realizado varios proyectos aparte de Jet Black Joe entre ellos Frogs, Jetz y Mary Poppins.
En el 2006 Jet Black Joe lanza "Full Circle" el ultimo hasta la fecha.
Jet Black Joe tiene una musica unica dificil de etiquetar, de geniales melodias con una atmosphera cautivante y la excelente voz de Pall Rosinkranz hacen de Jet Black Joe una banda super recomendada.

Mutha´s Day Out
Mutha's Day Out, banda de hip-hop, thrash metal formada en noviembre de 1991 en Batesville, Arkansas (Estados Unidos); compuesta por: Mikal Moore (voz), Brice Sthepens (segunda voz), Chuck Schaaf (guitarra), Jeff Morgan (bajo) y Rodney Moffitt (batería). En 1993 editaron My Soul Is Wet ("mi alma está mojada") con la compañía Chrysalis Records, y tras un gira exitosa por Europa se separaron definitivamente.
Ellos llegaron a ser la banda más joven de rock en firmar para una etiqueta tan grande en años.
